the fall out of christis announcement

Ami and taylor are in tears and begging for emancipation. What time does the courthouse close? Moni says that is a great idea I love all my grandchildren the more the merrier. As long as I get my scooter for christmas. Eg opened the door as we were going 70 MPH performed the most impressive tuck and roll I have ever seen. Jc never touched the ground.

christi has lost it

We have four hours left and I am afraid for all our safety. Christi is driving and she has gone crazy. She just anounced that she has enjoyed this trip with her kids so much that she would like to have another baby. If you r within a 40 mile radius of james please go and lock him up. If we are not diligent in this task this !5 passenger van will be christis only option for carting her pack around. Rusty are you there we need your help.

day 10 texas here we come...

Our goal was to leave at 12pm from Carlsbad and get home to SA by 8:30...

You should have guessed by now that wasn't going to happen. It is now 3pm and we are leaving Carlsbad heading home. Chris decided to take a detour b/c a local told her it would be quicker - I may be posting in a bit to tell you we are lost!

Hopefully we will be home tonight and get to see everyone soon!

signing off...

Ok we decided to make tonight our last night away from home!! I have a disclaimer to make - this blog has been intended to humor all who have read it... and maybe I embellished a LITTLE

This trip has truly been an amazing adventure! We are all blessed to have been given this opportunity! Thank you Moni - we love you!

i wanna go home, i wanna go home...

So our 8 hour road trip is now turning into 13 hours! Don't ask how that happens - remember who we are with...

Justin has been inconsolable for the past three hours
Jackson has resorted to hiding under his pillow in hopes that if he doesn't look he is not in the car
Hunter has been screaming DIEGO nonstop
Hailey is asking "are we there yet" about every 5 minutes (and I have the honor of being right next to her)
Jaimi has broken down crying 3 times on the trip
Taylor and Ami have started laughing out loud when there is absolutely nothing funny

As for the adults, well I am trying to hold in the tears, Heather is keeping her eyes closed, and chris is in the fetal position rocking...

Moni is excited b/c we are getting to see White Sands - please tell me we did not travel 5 hours out of the way for white sands. I would have gladly painted some dirt white and threw it in the backyard!!!

day 8 and jc is losing it

Justin, who has never wanted a binki ever, has now esorted to using one!

back to summer sizzle

We stayed in california only 3 nights but oh how quickly my body forgot what heat is... I fell asleep as we were leaving california - in a sweatshirt and long capris underneath a blanket. I kept having this dream of something burning - that's when I woke up. My feet were on the window... well so much for 68 degrees in June. The temp here in Phoenix said 111 - how I missed summer!

Today we went to the Cabazon Dinosaur Museum. The kids were running around in heaven - and yes this time the dinos were child friendly - no half eaten people!! I will upload pics as soon as I can.

We are only 3 days from being home. I feel as though I have run a marathon and this is the last stretch... and yet I have no energy to keep running! It was so loud in the car today Blaine put me on speaker just so his entire office could laugh - glad to know my pain is cheap entertainment!

Well it is time to go down and clean out the van - you have no idea the amount of work that means - and rearrange all our stuff. Unfortunately each stop we've made has added a person full of stuff to the already overloaded van! By the time we reach TX someone will be kicked out so we have room - PICK ME, PICK ME!

Ok, good night everyone and we love you and miss you!
